AVG Admin (Remote Administration)

Central administration via the AVG Admin tool allows the network administrator to remotely install, update, and configure AVG across the computer network.

New in AVG Admin 8.0

  • Intuitive and user friendly user interface
  • Simplified deployment

Features

  • Remote installation and repair — AVG clients can be installed remotely on all workstations in the local network. The remote installation tool can create an installation script that enables running the Setup process on all network stations.
  • Full Remote Administration of AVG clients in the Network — Management tools provide a constant overview of the status of all AVG clients, and allow you to centrally control and modify the AVG client settings.
  • Centralized or distributed updating — AVG client updates can be performed centrally on all network stations. All updates can be scheduled according to your specific requirements. Full support for automatic updates for road warriors even when disconnected from the network.
  • Remote Launch of Tests/Updates on AVG Clients — AVGADMIN allows you to access the stations remotely and to run control tests, or to update the AVG client if the virus database has expired.
  • Test Results Reports — AVGADMIN provides a full overview of virus findings and test results. The administrator can examine and analyze the reported data to discover the possible virus source, and then take the relevant preventative steps for strengthening the network‘s anti-malware protection.
  • Monitoring — All network stations, with AVG installed, save their system parameters, current AVG program information and their test results into the AVG DataCenter. AVGADMIN takes this data from the AVG DataCenter and displays it to the administrator in the form of structured reports.
  • Graphical reports — Generate well arranged reports quickly and easily. Reports may show a summary of stations managed by AVG Admin, top infected stations, top virus occurrences and similar statistics.
